The beautiful Crystal Cathedral is the main sight and was even nominated for Wonder of the World. The Cathedral, serving as a place of worship, also is host to annual Christmas and Easter shows. Tickets sell fast so if you plan to attend, buy them before hand and it will be near impossible to buy them at the door. Also the bustling cities of Santa Ana, Anaheim, Tustin and Irvine, as well as other interesting cities are near by.
A must-see is the Old Towne Orange and the historic Orange Circle, located at the intersection of Chapman & Glassell, which contains many restaurants, bars and antique stores. It's no wonder that Tom Hanks used the area in making "That Thing You Do", a movie about how a small-town rock band made it big. In 1995, his film crew set up camp and used the whole of Old Towne Orange to double as Erie, Pennsylvania circa 1964. The "Norman Rockwell" style backdrop and bubble-gum American folksiness is a place people flock to.
[edit] Do
Shopping at The Block is almost mandatory when visiting the city as is visiting the almost completely glass Crystal Cathedral. You can also try indoor go-karting at Dromo One.

Felix's Cuban Cafe in the Orange Circle is a quaint location with the best Cuban food in all of Orange County. It is a casual, moderately-priced eatery with outdoor seating providing lovely views of the plaza.
The elegant Orange Hill Restaurant, located on east Chapman Avenue in the foothills of Orange, is an upscale dining experience. It features one of Southern California's best Sunday Brunches with views all the way to the ocean.
There are few places like Watson's Drug & Soda Fountain left in America, and even fewer in Orange County. With formica and chrome, "Liver and Onions" on special, and red checkered tablecloths with swivel stools to match, it oozes nostalgia without even trying. Both a functioning drug store and a diner, its interior is a space so eeriely classic, so suspended in a long forgotten decade, that I half expect Andy Taylor to mosey in, saddle up at the counter, and order a slice of apple pie and a chocolate malt -- which just happens to be a specialty of the house.
